La Cocina del Sol features the Southwestern inspired menu of acclaimed chef Alex Montiel. Upbeat and upscale, La Cocina del Sol offers a delicious family dining experience for visitors in the Charlotteville, Virginia area. Chef Alex Montiel served as executive chef at the Boar’s Head Inn in Charlottesville before starting his own restaurant in spring 2007. He trained under five Michelin chefs and worked in such resorts as the Four Seasons Inn on the Park in Houston, the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel and the Grove Isle Club and Resort before coming to Virginia. In addition to the new restaurant, Chef Montiel offers cooking classes at local vineyards and catering services. |
